Profile

Giuliano Russo is a health economist with over 15 years of professional experience in the public and private sector as well as in the academia in Europe, Africa and Latin America. Doctorate in public health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Giuliano has worked in the pharmaceutical industry as manager of health economics, as health economic adviser to the Ministry of Health in Mozambique, and researcher at the Instituto Nacional de Salud de México and at the Institute of Development Studies of the University of Sussex. Giuliano is currently a lecturer and researcher at the Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical of the Nova University of Lisbon, where he teaches Introduction to Health Economics and Management of financial resources for health and in the MSc. in Health and Development.
